Russia wins Fed Cup final against Spain

Russia secured its fourth Fed Cup title in five years when Svetlana Kuznetsova beat Spain’s Anabel Medina Garrigues 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in the reverse singles to give her country an unassailable 3-0 lead.
The 23-year-old Kuznetsova raced to a 4-0 lead in the first set Sunday before Medina Garrigues could find a response to her powerful groundstrokes. Medina Garrigues rallied to take the first set, but was outmatched the rest of the way.
